The sun embraces the chill of December as it flies through the heavens with Aquila from December 2nd to December 12th. Aquila comes down to us from the Sumerian and Akkadian eagle “ALULA,” meaning great spirit. A fitting symbol for the middle face of Sagittarius, a sign known for its higher thought and understanding. Such importance has been attached the eagle and it’s correspondence with the higher self and the great spirit that this constellation has endured almost unchanging for close to 5000 years
