Sagitta the arrow is lost in the glow of the sun from December 12th to December 22nd. A common tale for Sagitta is that Hercules sent his dart flying against the great bird Aquila positioned directly beneath Sagitta. Often the arrow is depicted in the claws of the eagle emphasizing the culmination of spiritual control that the third decan of Sagittarius embodies.
